This is an excellent article written by Adrian Kingsley-Hughes and I cannot help but agree with all he says. My only difference would be that I am heading to "browser access to the Cloud" rather than to Apple! Thank goodness the Cloud came along at the same time the wheels fell off Windows!

This would have saved Microsoft from a lot of grief ...
I totally agree with the views expressed in this article. Microsoft could have renamed Windows 7 as Windows Desktop 7 and, in parallel, launched Windows Touch 1. They could have left the desktop out of Windows Touch 1 which is what the rumours were suggesting was going to happen in future releases.
