There is no doubt that, in its earlier days, Microsoft was every bit as innovative as Apple or Google. It was unfortunate that they were well ahead of time on so many things!

I totally agree with the views expressed in this article. Microsoft could have renamed Windows 7 as Windows Desktop 7 and, in parallel, launched Windows Touch 1. They could have left the desktop out of Windows Touch 1 which is what the rumours were suggesting was going to happen in future releases.
Whilst Dan Grabham doesn't mince his words, I think he absolutely right! Microsoft is really in deep trouble and they seem incapable of making good product decisions at the moment.
