Google is giving away more free software ...
There is no doubt about the difference between the business models of Google, Apple and Microsoft. Google makes its money out of advertising - not software, Apple makes its money out of hardware - not software and Microsoft makes its money out of software - nothing else! If Google and Apple continue to give away operating systems and productivity software (read MS Office) there is going to be nothing left for Microsoft - it will have to become a hardware vendor - oh! that's right it bought Nokia and now makes Surface Tablets!
